This release presents the patterns of international migration to and from the Maldives as well as internal migration within the Atolls and islands of the country. Census 2014 broadly measured internal migration through place of birth, place of registration, place of usual residence, reasons for migration and place of previous residence. International in-migration of foreigners to the Maldives cover the place of birth, duration of stay in the Maldives and reasons for migration.
